I decided to take to the local thrift stores on Haight Street today and came up with 5 quick and easy outfits that I found in less than 10 minutes. These were all outfits that outfits that were also under $20. Quick and easy budget shopping for the poor San Franciscan.
For one half of my work marathon project I decided to take to the streets of different areas of San Francisco to take pictures of the many trends and fashions that are on the street. No matter what area or street that I was in, there were always plenty of people to take pictures of, so many that I'd be chasing them down after stopping to take another picture. Below I have compiled some of my favorites. During my brief time thus far in San Francisco, one of the main things I have taken from San Francisco's culture is the wide variety of styles. San Francisco is known across the world because of its lush history and quickly becoming the biggest tech-oriented industrialized city in America, though it is often overlooked when it comes to fashion as it is outshone by its California counterpart, Los Angeles. I think my biggest question is how come a city with such diversity and originality (and from experience, features more fashionable people overall) can be forgotten in the fashion industry. My goal with this blog is to show the world that San Francisco is not just an awesome badass city, but is also one of the most fashionable and well-dressed places I've been in the United States. Coming from San Diego, which like San Francisco is a largely populated city, full of diversity on each corner, I would imagine the two would have a bit in common. Though what I have found is that in pretty much any area you end up in San Francisco, you are more than likely going to find some people pretty well-dressed.
